TRAINING OVERVIEW
We all have unconscious or implicit bias. There is nothing inherently wrong with them. This bias is the natural result of our brain trying to process the information that we are bombarded with every day. To keep our grey matters from exploding, our brain creates shortcuts to process that information and creates associative stereotypes. They are the result of our background, cultural environment, and personal experiences. Everyone has them: males; females; younger individuals; older individuals; White; Black; Asian; and Hispanic. Not surprisingly, most of us deny that they exist in us. But they impact nearly every decision we make, including those in the workplace.
