Documentation if often seen as important for organizations to protect themselves against legal claims.  In reality, it is a lot more.  It is also about building a strong foundation for your leaders to lead more effectively.   Effective documentation captures both what is going well and what could be improved with employee performance.  It becomes a timeline of ongoing conversations and the foundation from which a manager can provide coaching and development.  Incorporating good documentation into your leadership training strengthens a manager’s skill set.  This class is designed to help managers learn the foundations of this important skill. For the HR professional, it will give you a refresher on both documentation as a skill and a process to support promotions, project assignments, time off, performance issues, etc.
