TRAINING OVERVIEW
This course explores two key concepts — privilege and power. Privilege refers to a right or exemption from liability or duty, granted as a special benefit or advantage. Power, in this context, refers to the capacity to exercise control over others, deciding what is best for others, and deciding who will have access to or be denied resources. Additionally, participants gain an understanding about actions that misuse and/or abuse power and privilege, creating oppression, marginalization, and dehumanization.
