TRAINING OVERVIEW
A Mastermind provides the opportunity for a group of people to come together to discuss a particular topic or text and to hold each other accountable for growth and learning. This Mastermind is for first time managers, those who are currently managers, and for those who want to become managers. During this Mastermind, we will discuss the book The Making of a Manager by Julie Zhuo. You will read assigned chapters before each meeting. During our weekly meetings, we will discuss the content and support each other as we begin the journey to effective management.
According to Zhuo, great managers are made, not born. Through our discussions, you will learn the role of a manager, the challenges facing a new manager and what you need to do to improve your leadership skills.
