Training Overview
Many virtual team members, especially in larger organizations, report feeling less connected to their companies, often expressing sentiments like, “I like my supervisor and immediate team, but I don’t feel attached to the organization.” According to Gallup, only 28% of remote workers felt connected to their organization’s mission in 2023—down from 35% two years prior. This dip is linked to increased isolation, lower productivity, and higher turnover.
We see this as a growing issue for larger organizations over the next 3-5 years. In response, APG began work in early 2024 to support clients in tackling this challenge. Drawing on both research and client insights, we’ve compiled 50+ common issues faced by remote workers. For each, we’re researching and identifying effective, proven strategies for leaders to foster more engaging virtual work environments.
The objective of this session is to understand the elements of a highly connected virtual team where members are highly productive and have a high sense of belonging.
